What you will need to complete is
project: double action airbrush, air compressor as an air source, Golden
Airbrush colors black (airbrush ready paint any color will work), two sheets of
heavy paper such as Newsprint, Bristol Board (one you will be airbrushing onto
the other you'll make a five point star stencil out of).Or one sheet of heavy
paper and one sheet of a stencil material such as penent felt or poster board,
T Squares stencil material. An easel to hang the sheet of paper you will be
airbrushing onto is very helpful rather than tring to do this on a table
top.
Step #1: As picture below. First we will make a five point
star stencil like the one you see me using below. This can be made out of
pennet felt, T Squares stencil material or poster board. Attach the paper you
will be airbrushing on to the easel. Cut a 5 point star stencil any size and
lightly spray the inside edges with any color. |
|
|
Step#2: As picture below. Airbrush
a line running from the ouside to the inside of each facet, on all five points
just as I have done below. |
.
|
Step#3: As picture below. Now
starting at the top and working counter clockwise, fill in every other facet
with strong color as I have done below. |
|
Step#4: As picture below. Now
strut your stuff and outline the star, being careful to keep a precise distance
between the star and the outline. (About 1/4 inch). This is important and shows
control and quality of work. You can finish the star with a few well placed
very sharp dagger strokes as a highlight. And there you have it-- a Convex
Star!! You will find lots of places to use them. |
