Thread: painting flames on 1/24 model car

hi,

I'm building on a 1/24 impala, this is pretty small. I wont to paint vector flames on it.
I'm not that good in airbrushing but i did it before, though i have never painted overlaying colors.
I thought of making the shape out of tape, and than first yellow than orange and than red.
Is this a good way? and have you guys any tips for my?.

that should work for you.

Don't forget you spray red over yellow you get orange

try some test pieces maybe before you try it on your model
