    Default Paasche VL Spitting problem

I just bought a used Paasche VL and dissasembled/cleaned the brush. After reassembling I put some water in the cup just to test it out. Then when I pull back on the trigger the airbrush sprays on-off-on-off etc. It is a very consistant on-off. I tried messing with the PSI and applied teflon tape to the air hose/brush connection and where the nozzle connects to the body of the brush. The spray slightly Improved but is still a big problem.

I'm going to re-clean the nozzle and paint cup(I didn't get any bottles) and try again. If you have any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

I have had a Talon for a while and I am very familiar with that but I'm new to the VL/suction feed. Also the Talon works fine on the same hose so it isn't a compressor/filter/hose isssue.

    Thanks in advance

Good thanks Don, I've had a really busy summer and haven't been airbrushing as much as I would like to.

I have not tried a different combination. I also forgot to mention that the paint bubbles ALOT in the cup. I don't have any stores near me that stock airbrush supplies (I would have to order online) so I don't want to buy a needle/nozzle unless you are pretty sure that would fix the problem.

Thats my best guess without seeing the brush.
If you cleaned it real well and sealed it up best guess is tip and or needle
lucky for you they are about the cheapest to replace of any make, model airbrush

VL Parts and Schematic there an exploded view check yours against that to make sure you have all the parts might be worth a try

I finally got it working. Createx Airbrush Restorer works miracles. I soaked the brush overnight, cleaned again, and voila, airbrush in good working condition.
