Need Help
I am a beginner at airbrushing. I have a Paasche VL double action. Yesterday it was spraying a lot of extra, like splattering. Today I took completely apart and cleaned. Now it will not spray air only. As soon as I push down paint is spraying but not splattering anymore. I've gotten good at taking apart but hopefully did not mess something up. Another question, how far should the needle come out of the gun? Any help would be great. Thanks.

the needle - push it in gently until you feel it seat in the nozzle
if when you push down on the trigger without pulling back and it sprays paint the needle is not seated correctly most likely

Take Don's advice, it sometimes happen's if the needle doesn't seat itself in the nozzle correctly.
