    wade7632,

Welcome to the forum. I have no experience with central pneumatic airbrushes. I do have one of the air compressors. I've not seen anyone here that uses them. If you want to get more into detail, you'll probably need a different brand. If you search the forum you will find several advertisers here. Look around to see what they carry. Names like Iwata, Paasche, Badger, Master to name a few. There are several manufacturers. Hope that helps.

    Wade7632,

I was new to this only 6 months ago and had considered Central Pneumatic equipment. If you wish to e-mail me direct, I would give you an opinion of what you might consider. I'm on a budget, due to retirement, so I know what you're trying to accomplish. It would my my opinion only.

    Hey wade!
I have just joined this forum to be a better ABer... (is this a word)
Anyway, I also do modeling with the AB, here is the thing the size of the model will determine which AB is best to use
a 0.5mm needle might we a little too big, you can however make it work. I primarily use the Iwata Eclipse BCS (0.5mm) to paint larger surfaces you can get that for around 80$
very well built AB very nice!
If you need a smaller needle you might want to look at a 0.2 or 0.3 mm AB, looked at the Iwata HP line those are little bit more expensive... around 180$ LOVED THIS BRUSH
Anyway I have meet up with other people that also do model and most of them would use a 0.3mm

    Hope it helps!

There are been some debate over how the AB works with those needle...
The needle are pretty much the same 0.3mm vs 0.35mm
However I have heard that the mixing and atomization is different with those AB (thats what the IWATA rep told me) I was trying to convert my 0.5mm Eclipse BCS to a 0.35mm I works BUT he recomemded the 0.3mm NEW BRUSH...
    IMHO They are the SAME!
What brush are you looking at?
