    Default Compressor help

Hi everyone i'm planning to buy a new compressor but i'm not sure which brand and model to go to.....and can you give me an idea of the kind of compressor specification for using auto paint and what is the minimum recommended PSI for such paint. I am using IWATA bcs 2001 for my airbrush...

    Thank you

You shouls always buy a bigger compressor than you need presently so you have room to expand
Are you going to clear coat?

If your going to clear you'll need at least that size compressor, the bigger the better along with the regulator, moisture traps.
The spray gun you buy for clearing should come with recommendations on compressor, psi, etc.
ever auto paint manufacture has tech sheets for their products PSI should be on those tech sheets.
With House of Kolor base kolors I over reduce them by 50 to 60% with slow reducer for airbrushing.
    Hope that helps, have fun....

You are not going to clear coat anything with that compressor which you said you where going to be doing.

I custom paint helmets for a living I bought my compressor at Sears 5 horse, 30 gallon tank.

"do you think its good enough for airbrushing auto paint only"
I have not used one personally so I can't give you first hand advice on that sorry...

Look locally for the bigger compressor as I'm unsure what is available where you live.
Have fun and look forward to checking out your work once you get going..

I haven't personally used either of those compressors so it won't be right for me comment on either of them.
I just don't feel comfortable offering suggesting on something I have not used personally and have not first hand knowledge of.
The only Iwata compressor I have owned, used was a Great White and I won't buy another one...

I can only tell what Iwata marketing, advertising says.
