Thread: master s58 problems

hi my name is bill im new to ab i bought a master airbrush s58. i got before i found this site is it a good ab to start with i got the golden paint like don said but im having problems. paint wants to sputter when i spray then it will be like i run out of paint then it will pick back up and spray again brush is clean i had broke down and soak parts in cleaner and cleaned it. don says to have fun with it but right now im not having to much fun with the way this thing is working am i doing something wrong or is it the brush any help would be great thanks

what kind of air source are you using?
compressor?
can of air?

i got a 90 gallon shop compressor with a regulator like 10 feet from ab. i tried different pressures from 15 to 50 psi still no help. i tried using ab again and now its bubbling out the top of the paint jar and i know it was clean. still running out of paint too. i cut pick up tube cause it looked like it was tight on bottom of jar but only cut enough to get off bottom

I can't find a master airbrush S58 listed on the master airbrush web page.....................

Is it a bottom feed airbrush?
Do you plug a bottle in the bottom?

yes its a bottom feed push bottle on to tube from bottom of ab. i got it at tcp global a couple days after i got it i got back on to see about getting a new needle and they didnt have it listed anymore they have a s68 but no longer an s58

its a double action ab

now its bubbling out the top

than its plugged up at the tip either a small piece of dried paint on the needle or inside the nozzle that you missed when you cleaned it

thats what i was thinking but i cleaned again and still same problems i ordered another needle and tip should be here today im gonna try that. it takes the same parts the s68 does but they just dont list the s 58 for sale anymore ill let ya know how i make out i wanna paint

ok brand new needle tip and air cap still sputtering paint and bubbling out top of paint bottle. it bubbles alot more when i let off the paint and hold air on and it still runs out of paint im about fed up with this ab i ordered a different one other day should be here tomoro gravity feed its a passche double action hopefully it works alot better

ok heres the deal i got a new ab paasche talon fairly decent price with 2 needles tools and air hose had it for a couple days now but have used it till tonite for about 10 min it works great really smooth action sprays paint like an ab should spray no sputtering can now paint a line without running out of paint and no spitting or sputtering awesome
