    Default Bad, bad paint...

I am new painting with an air brush…I have had nothing but trouble. I am not a stupid person. I can take my Paasche apart, and re-assemble it blind folded. I have over twenty years painting with a full size spray gun, and know how to paint. After three day of one fumble after another, I finally figured out what the problem is…PAINT. The paint sold by Hobby stores is junk. The pigment settles to the bottom and goes bad. A thinner will not solve the problem. Once water based paint goes bad, it can’t be brought back to life. All water based paint has a shelf life. At this point, I am thinking about making my own paint. It’s not rocket science. All paint has pigment…the key is to get the pigment fine enough for use in the tiny air brush. I am open to feed back. Please, I would like to hear what others have done.

How To Airbrush - Airbrush Lesson One for those new to airbrushing I list the best paint to use while leaning

I have nothing to gain by recommending the paint I do but you do as it will make learning to airbrush sooooooooooo much easier, fun
For less than lunch at McDonalds you can buy one bottle of golden airbrush kolors black that will last thru all the lessons we have on this site.

I've never seen Golden Airbrush Colors go bad and I have some thats well over five years sitting here in the shop...
