No, I put it on as soon as I opened the box. It did come with one of those darn barbed type fittings, like all my Master airbrushes did. Not sure why they waste their time by putting them in the box. As a consumer, I think they should put one of the "male" fittings, when selling them new and forget that barb fitting and nut. I think the quick disconnects are all the same size (I've purchased from two different sources) and all the male and female fittings interchange. I guess that makes too much sense!

The barbed fitting... I believe that its the one you use for ABing with air cans...

That's what I was talking about. Don't know why they don't give you one when you purchase a new airbrush. At least the male end. If you look around, you can find them way cheaper that at TCP Global. They all seem to be universal. I have them for all my airbrushes.
