    Default Tank or tankless compressor?

Hello, I'm new to airbrushing and need a couple of pointers or opinions as to which compressor most people prefer using... with or without tank. I have a Paasche VL and an Iwata BCS currently running with a Sparmax oil-less diaphragm compressor. Using Createx acrylics for practice and just starting to use Auto-air paint as well. My problem is that it seems that my compressor which is new by the way, just doesn't have enough volume to hold steady pressure. I can set the regulator at 40 psi and once I start to use the brush, pressure will eventually bleed down to around 7 psi unless I let off the trigger so it can build back up. So now I'm thinking about buying a regular 3-5 gallon compressor and just adding a regulator and a water/oil filter to it. What do you think? Any and all input appreciated.

both the airbrushes you are using and the paint regular a bit (30 to 60 psi) to work properly

Hi don johnson i think that a good idea. My question is does your compressor have a tank. Mine has a 1 gallon tank and it work well for me so far. Plus i have a old one with no tank and i have to reduce my paint greatly to get it to work .Becauce the createx is to thick for it to push out or it not handling the job like yours.

    HI welcome to howtoairbrush.com
I have a 30 gallon tank on my compressor.
I don't use Createx I use House of Kolor on the helmets I paint.

To use createx you should be 40 to 60 psi I believe.
