I am looking at the Paasche D3000R 1/8 HP compressor, max PSI is 40PSI. I want to use Createx paints so checked the technical data at createx site, it says 40 - 50+ PSI?
Am I going to have trouble using this compressor?
[I do assume that as it is Paasche it will pose no problems and I see most people say 20 - 40psi is operating range, but why does Createx say 40 - 50+ PSI?]
Ok, so I settled on a direct drive 2.5hp, 40 litre (10 gallon?), had a 30 metre (100 foot?) air hose and a connector pack for free, on special, so went to buy it...
The salesman says..if you wait till xmas you can get a 2.5hp, belt drive, 50 litre tank for $100 more...brand is Stanely (well known for tools here)...so I left...
Think I'll just buy the cheapest ($70) home handyman version. I can and wait till the xmas/boxing day sales kick in then buy a belt drive, and never worry about compressors ever again, lol
P.S. thanks for the replies. I first picked up an airbrush 30 years ago but stopped as I couldn't afford a decent setup. I been lucky? as I just had to spend a week on the couch (forced, hehe) and spent many hours (internet) sorting out my needs for a great airbrush system, its finally all coming together, heres hoping I can actually use it
Many thanks to sites like this, how did we ever exist without the web?
