Either a 'proper' airbrush compressor: 3/4 gallon tank, oil free, 1.6cfm, 1/6 or 1/8 hp, built in water trap, very quiet, thermal cutout etc
or a general home handyman type: 2hp, 30 litre tank, 3 - 4 cfm, direct drive, noisy?? (will add water trap) - slightly cheaper as well
I don't think the home handyman type is really not much use for anything else except blowing up car tires etc, I will be using it in the garage so noise is only a factor for me, but is a 'proper' airbrush compressor worth it? i.e. will it make using an airbrush any easier?

The airbrush doesn't know where the air is coming from so no it shouldn't be a problem.
Buying from a company that makes airbrush compressors thuo does help support the art form and gives the company's money to bring new innovative airbrush related products to market
