    Default Compressor help needed?

I am curious about compressors.... I am currently using a regular air compressor but I want to get a dedicated airbrush compressor. Is there a difference in air quality? Is it better to use a tanked compressor? I just dont know what the difference is. So what im asking is, is it better to use an airbrush compressor? If so, I am limited on funds as I am working on my va disability while im getting started, what do you recommend? And.... Would any of you have a spare you would be willing to trade for pens and some cash?

I dont think the air quality is different as long as you have a moisture trap and the air you are getting is "dry". I think the only downside to using a regular compressor is portability and noise. Having a tanked compressor just means it does not have to run as much as you are using the stored air. Sry ,I have no spare but you might get lucky. I have seen some of the mechanically inclined folk build their own from a tank and an old fridge or ac compressor, but that is beyond my ability. sit tight and I am sure there will be more advice coming.....l8r

"Is it better to use a tanked compressor?"

It's always best to buy as big a compressor as you can afford that way you can expand, use it for other things down the road. One with a tank is preferred as the compressor shouldn't have to work so hard with the added air storage.

Maybe check E-Bay for use compressor.

Jo has a little compressor listed for sale on airbrushtechnique.com CLICK HERE TO CHECK IT OUT
