Thread: Water and Oil Acrylics?

i know that acryilc wont cover enamel but what about mixing oil and water based acrylics. I am currently using auto grade acrylics and am thinning them about equal parts. Just wondering if premixed airbrush acrylic paints (water based) will cover the oil based and visa versa.

Anytime you go mixing different types of paint you are asking for trouble in my book
find one paint system you like, can afford and stay with that system

I have no personal experience with using water based paints for auto graphics application, I've not found a system I have confidence in so I can answer your question from personal experience sorry.
