I have used both for years and won't use anything else you can't go wrong using either as long as you learn their system.
Like anything else you can get yourself in trouble if you don't read the directions so to speak :-)
I am planning on starting a fairly big project soon...painting the tank, fenders, and frame of my Harley. I've been researching different brands of paint and was wondering if anyone has ever used House of Kolor paints, or Kustom Shop paints. I've only ever knowingly seen House of Kolor paints in bike magazines, but then again they airbrush the photos to remove any flaws in the photos. And I don't believe I've ever seen Kustom Shop paints.

hi hdtech i use hok a lot with the ab i like it but a bit expensive but worth it to me . but there is a lot of good paints out there some are water base an others are solvent base like hok its mostly personal preference. an how experience you have with mixing paint . some are ready to paint right out of the bottle so they clam but i cant comment on that because i haven't used them but there are a lot of members here that use a wide variety of paints for different projects for hard surface hok would be my first choice hope this dos not confuse you // deadeye
No confusion here. I've had quite a bit of experience mixing paints in the past so I understand that. I don't plan on practicing with HoK or KS paints, that would be a bit expensive. The HoK is for when I paint my motorcycle. I'm going to start off with a white primer and kandy basecoat, then not quite sure what I'll do for a top coat...maybe a triple deep black with silver flakes. Not going to attempt any special graphics until I get more experience.
