Default Help with Primary base coat.

Hi e1 can any one tell me what would be the best color for the primary coat. I'd tried using white but then I have a couple of place's that I can't get to even out one place would be smooth and right next to it would be rough. I've used the scotch pad and comet to prep the case but there was spots that has deep scratches. The person that I'm doing it for said just take it to bare metal which I did. Now it's even more of the problem.any and all help would be most grateful

what kind of paint are you using?

You need a high build primer and guide coat it to get a nice smooth painting surface

the paint that I'm using is a cheap stuff from walmart called Apple Barrel its a waterbase acrylic. Since I'm on a tight budget I thought while I'm still learning how to and to get better with the ab
of the fine lines and so on. But with this case when it was brought to me it had deep scratches down to bare metal. And the person was wanting it taken down to bare metal anyway. Which I did
then I was thinking about going down to the auto paint store to buy something that would help with the primary coat plus trying to get the case to even smoother. I'd used the 60,80,and 320 grit
to sand it down. to get rid of the scrathes. It looked like someone did a screwdriver scratches that's how deep they were.
