Learn Airbrushing

Learning to airbrush today is much easier than when I first started almost twenty years ago, back than the Internet and all it's resources was just in it's infancy. It's been almost ten years sense I first built this web site, howtoairbrush.com, the intent was to provide the kind of support, information I never had when I was learning to airbrush to anyone, everyone interested in learning to airbrush.
I hope that thru the lessons on this web site we can retain some of the folks in this art form that would other wise become frustrated trying to learn on their own and give up on airbrushing.
I see more and more folks everyday, baby boomers who in their teens tried their hand at airbrushing but gave it up to start their careers, families, etc. that are now coming back to airbrushing to give it another try. This time around I hope they find enough support thru this web site to stick with it as airbrushing can be very rewarding and a great release from the everyday stress, stain life throws at us all.
“Artist” - Anyone can be an artist, anyone can learn how to airbrush the concept that artist, airbrush artist are some special breed of human with skills beyond what other fellow human beings possess is just not true. While it's true some folks can pick up on some art skills, airbrushing skills quicker than others everyone has the ability to learn the skills necessary to have fun airbrushing.
After being involved with this web site for ten years I've come to realize that the biggest factors in successfully learning how to airbrush is a person's enthusiasm and the willingness to learn, stick-to·-intuitiveness, not some inherited traits or natural skill set.
Please keep in mind why you first started seeking out information on learning how to airbrush, to be creative, earn some extra money maybe, relax and have a release from the everyday stress and strain everyone encounters. Relax, have fun, practice, learn the basics and within a couple weeks you will see a huge improvement in your airbrushing skills. Keep those first practice sheets as a reference so that in several weeks you can look back at them and gauge how far you've come sense beginning your journey of learning to airbrush.
Start out with the basic airbrush lessons on this web site and progress thru each to reach the next skill level. Please follow the recommendation to use airbrush ready paint for the purpose of learning. That has to be the number one frustration factor for those learning to airbrush, not using a paint that will enable you to enjoy your time practicing and not fighting a paint that will not flow well thru your airbrush. Start out by buying a good QUILTIY airbrush not some inexpensive airbrush from some off brand company. Eliminate the possibility that it might be the cheap airbrush you bought giving you trouble not your lack of skill or ability to learn, buy a good airbrush. Buy a compressor that is bigger for your present needs so you have room to expand should the time come, research, research before you buy.
